I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Target (Indianapolis, IN) in Aug 2016
Interview
Interview process was fast, friendly, and fun (Target motto). Not to be cheesy, but it really was. Seemed extensive at times, as it took three interviews for an entry level jobs, but still very positive experience. It is important to call as a follow, anything necessary to show that you are interested and pro-active. Retail does not get that much engagement.
The process was quick. I got a phone call to come in person and interview. I dressed nicely and waited to be called into the interview room. The interview was quick, we talked about the customer service experience and then I left. I got the called a few days after saying I got it.
I got a phone call to schedule the interview, in person. And then had brief conversation with several of the store's managers, relatively standard interview, not too much I can say. The entire interview took a little less than one hour.
The interview was super easy. I sat inside one of the staff's rooms for the meeting. They just asked me a bunch of hypothetical questions about certain situations with other coworkers and about my personality.
