I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2011
Interview
I was interviewed by two different people in two separate interviews. They basically asked the same questions. The first interviewer was great. She was friendly and encouraging. The second interviewer was bad. I don't know if he was trying to see how I would react or something, but he said I didn't seem very "Fast, Fun, or Friendly" which was really weird, because the first interviewer said that I seemed to fit well with the company philosophy of "Fast, Fun, and Friendly." The second interviewer hired me, despite saying that. I don't really think he knew what he was doing, because he hired me when HR was not present, which he said he wasn't supposed to do. I think it was just a case of a bad manager, because I heard he was fired three months after I got hired.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
It was interesting. Not hard at all, straightforward, and pretty open people. It was an okay interview and what you’d typically expect. So don’t stress stress it, I mean kinda try your best
