I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Escondido, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
i applied online and got a call about a week later. once i was at the interview i had to wait a little bit because i think they were interviewing someone else. once i got into the room i was asked many situational based questions, then escorted back to a waiting room and then another individual came and interviewed me and then i was told to wait again. not too long after, i got offered a job before i left. they also asked me if i was interested in other departments than what i applied for which i thought was pretty cool.

It was two interviews. The first one was a recorded interview for 15 minutes and the second interview was in person. The questions were very similar. It is common questions that they would ask for being in retail.
Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
