Interview
It was a campus drive conducted at Vignan University. There were four rounds:
1) Screening Test (Students who had a consistent 70% aggregate throughout were directly called for interview without the screening test). Questions tested critical reasoning and quantitative aptitude.
2) Technical Interview: 1:1 Interview with an engineer. I was asked about the projects on my resume, basics of C and concepts of object oriented programming. It was a breeze.
3) HR Interview: 1:1 Interview with a HR manager. Generic questions like 'Why should I hire you?', 'Why do you want to work for TCS?' etc. Cliched questions to which I gave cliched answers. I was also asked to describe any relatively new or novel technology. I talked about NoSQL, specifically MongoDB. The interviewer was obviously very impressed.
4) Managerial Interview: 1:1 Interview with a senior manager. This round is mostly a formality as virtually everyone who got to it were selected. The nature of the interview varied depending on the interviewer. Mine was kind of a stress test, the interviewer was deliberately condescending and trying to provoke me into impulsive action. If you know how to keep your mouth shut, it shouldn't be a problem.
