my 1st round was aptitude test which had 30 questions each carries 1 mark. i have attempted around 25. Really it was a bit easy one and requires above average preparation. they announced shortlisted students but not cut off mark( i can say it wont be less than 21 marks based on my friends marks)
my 2nd round was Technical Round with two members in the panel. In TR round they first asked me about myself,my academics. They asked about the decline in my b.tech percentage(73%) from ssc n inter (above 90).They were concerned with my branch. As i told them am from ece, they were willing to check whether am able to solve a given problem using C language as they know we dont have JAVA in our academics. They asked me what i had learned in C language, basic knowledge in c i.e, functions, pointers, structures and their applications, usage. Given a problem n asked how to implement it.it is a simple one which can be solved by using if else conditions. They keenly observed the way am answering them n my confidence levels. They didnt ask me any programs n data structures concepts. It depends on the panel members in TR. The TR round was lasted for around 15 mins.
My next round was Management Round. He asked the following questions
1.about myself and my background
2.why TCS
3.Will you work for TCS if we dont offer the domain you are interested in / job applied for
4.some questions related to current affairs i.e, our financial minister's name, former CEO of APPLE, etc, i dont know why he asked those for the job i have applied for, but one should answer those simple questions.
it lasted for 10 minutes
The last round was HR. It was the simplest of all. The HR was really very cool. I didnt feel it as an interview. she asked me about myself, interests n hobbies, weakness n how can i overcome them, what things i want to change in myself etc etc... I think the HR's intention was actually to test only my communication and verbal skills. It lasted for 10 mins.
