->Personal Interview:
All three rounds were conducted on the same day. On the day of the interview, I was very nervous. When my turn came, and I entered the meet on webex, I found that there were three interviewers were seated, HR, TR and 1 of them was MR.
1)Technical Round:
I greeted the interviewers. They had my resume in front of them, which I had uploaded during my registration. So, HR asked me to introduce myself. And then TR started asking me technical questions. The first question was "What is polymorphism? And it's real life example." to which I gave him the definition followed by real life example. Then he asked me to give the difference between" Run-time polymorphism and compile-time polymorphism". Later, he asked me to explain the logic behind the code "To Check whether a given number is prime number or not?" and I had given the correct answer for this code. Then,he asked me "what is methods and abstract methods."
Then he was going through my resume which he had infront of him,and asked me to explain about my projects. I had included my 3 projects in my resume in which 1 project was on C & C++, 1 project was on Java and 1 project was hardware based which was related to my branch i.e. Electronics. So, he only asked about the 2 software based projects only. According to me, I appeared well for all the technical questions. Then he handed over the next process to the MR who was there during my entire TR round.
2)Managerial Round:
As soon as I gave my answers to technical questions, the second interviewer asked me that "You are from Electronics branch then instead of Core Electronics,why do you want to get a job in IT i.e. Software Industry." The questions were lengthy yet straight forward. It took me two to three minutes to complete my answer. So I explained them about my interest in coding.
Then he asked me about shifts, He said," We have many clients from abroad (Foreign Countries) ,so sometimes,you may have to work in night shifts so Are you ok with it?"
3) Human Resources Round:
Moving forward, MR handed over the process to HR, then he asked me a few more questions such as:
What did you do for last six months?
Why do you wish to join TCS?
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Are you are comfortable relocating to any other city in India?
Is this your first Interview or is their any interview in upcoming days?
And at that time I was shortlisted for Wipro second round i.e. Business Discussion.
So I answered them, "Yes, this is my first interview. And there is Wipro 2nd Round in upcoming days."
By hearing this answer, HR asked me," Suppose, You got offer letters of both companies, which will you choose?"
