The process took quite some time and consisted of three rounds- a phone screen, Zoom call, and in-person visit. After the in-person visit I waited for several weeks before I heard back, and that was only after I reached back out. I was offered way below market value with a guarantee of a 2% COL increase every year that the HR person I spoke with was really trying to sell me on, despite it being paltry. I counter offered by $5k (I would still be making below market rate) and they only offered me $1500 in return.
I thought it was weird that all the salary offering/negotiations was done over phone, so I didn't feel like I had much time to consider my options. They also did not put the hybrid schedule into my contract which I did not like, because I know employers are keen on bait and switching candidates after they're hired.
