I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tenaris (Austin, TX) in Dec 2014
Interview
It is a multi-round interview beginning with an aptitude test. After they then provide everyone with some legos to build something and then one by one describe it. The following section is a group section where everyone was a part of a committee tasked to help an island properly spend a large donation. Only catch is that the island is so riddled with problems you could spend the money on any one of the bigger things or a few of the smaller things. Once you decided how you'd like to solve all of the islands problems in 15 minutes or so, you give a presentation to the panel. After this they will have many leave and then do one on one interviews with the rest.
The only difficult portion was the committee one. When you have group members who aren't seeing eye to eye on how to spend the money it can be difficult. You either go with their ridiculous plans to save money so you can move on but then get berated for legalizing cocaine. Or put your foot on the ground and just spend the time arguing and never finish.
