Applied online, received notification that I qualified for an interview. The first interview is via email and is a set of about 10 questions that involve your experience with DHS eligibility determinations and several questions about your skills and abilities. I then got an email saying I was placed on the preferred service list. The following step was an actual face to face interview in the office. No hard questions. Just the basics questions that are specific to human services. Was told they would notify me in 2-3 weeks. I have gone through this process six times in the past year with no offer yet! I would like to know who gets these jobs. I have a degree in Human Services and was the top in my class. Good luck if you can figure out how to get your foot in the door. I guess having a 4.0 GPA and B.S. degree with excellent references doesn't qualify you to gather info to determine if someone gets food stamps or other government assistance. All my other friends who I graduated with all have jobs in their respective fields making at least $40,000. Very frustrating!!!
