A very long process that took four months - dozens of emails, phone interviews with four different Tesla employees, then one all day interview with seven interviewers and only one bottle of water offered during this 9 hour process. I was asked to be a “lab monkey” (verbatim from the recruiter) for an internal Tesla color test that hadn’t been formalized and I believe that was main reason I was asked to come in and interview.
One of the male interviewers belittled me the entire time of his interview with me, ignoring my responses to his insistence that the automotive industry was crazier and busier than the Apparel industry (my background). My professional background and extensive color management experience as well as my perfect score on a separate industry-wide color test bore no weight in this exhausting and waste-of-everyone’s-time process.
