The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Fremont, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
I reached out to a HM from Tesla via LinkedIn. He checked my resume and forwarded to his sister team at Tesla. My resume was selected and the HR set up a call with a team member. Initially I was told it will be with my HM. But the 1st round was fixed with a team member. It went well, it was a combo of behavioral + brain storming with hypothetical situation, also about my background. Next was the panel interview 30 mins presentation with 5 team mates (all levels) including HM. And 1:1 with all 5 of them. Everyone was mostly focused on behavioral questions and were trying to seek answers for how will you manage communication and work in a big facility. All rounds went well as I was fully prepared with lots of work stories from current and previous roles. The team was convinced I do have good experience to work at Tesla.
Btw fun fact - No one out of 6 people asked me this infamous question, ' why tesla'. Lol. I was prepared with 6 different answers for 6 different panel people.

I applied online. I interviewed at Tesla (Austin, TX)
Interview
This interview consisted of 4 interviews. This was for an internship position. Ultimately, I had to take the initiative to follow up and see if they had made their decision. The follow-up was not there, and I do think I would have had the dreaded "ghosting" if I had not been proactive myself. All for an internship that I ultimately did not get.
