I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tesla (Palo Alto, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
The overall process took 2 months. I am still not sure why did they reject my profile (can make only guesses).
Here is Breakdown of stages:
1) Recruiter - Basic Screening
2) Senior Engineer - Some technical questions relevant to the role
3) Hiring Manager - Deep dive into a specific project I worked on
4) Take-Home Test - More conceptual (48 hrs duration)
5) On-site Interview - At first, we have to present any of our previous projects to a panel of 6 folks (each will ask some questions at the end), followed by 1-1 interview with each for the rest of the day - its 100% technical and took 7 hrs straight.
My Advice : Just sleep well before the on-site interview. I have trouble sleeping in a new place and the day was so tiring. So see to it when you get to this stage.
