Thank you for your feedback. We are committed to building our team carefully and thoughtfully, and to making sure that everyone we hire speaks with not just their core team, but others around the company — and often our CEO and Founders. Changing jobs is a two-way interaction. While we want to get to know candidates, we also believe it’s important that candidates have a holistic picture of the company, their potential day-to-day, and how our people live our culture.
Because we are distributed by design (nearly all interviews are conducted over video chat), our finding and hope is that even though we normally host numerous interview rounds with most candidates, they are not overly time consuming. Again, we believe that speaking with many people at Testlio is important for everyone involved.
Regarding the feedback you received about why we ultimately selected another applicant, we are more than happy to discuss this further, especially considering how well you did in this last round. Hiring decisions are multifaceted, and the nuances are challenging to convey over email, but if you contact me at [renita at testlio .com], we can set up a time to review the experience further.
It is troubling that someone might imply that you were late if you were in fact on time, or that interviewers arrived late to their appointments. If you do decide to contact us, I’d like to know more about exactly what happened from your perspective. We will take this feedback to our hiring managers and reemphasize that they need to be professional and considerate of interviewee time.
Kind Regards,
Renita Käsper
