My interviewer was hardly professional. With that being said, the interview did go well until I was asked about prior work experience. I should mention, I am a medically retired veteran, and have been out of work for over 6 months. The manager was EXTREMELY biased towards the fact that I am a prior service Marine (I was an administrative specialist/customer service), regardless of the fact that I have had plenty of retail/management experience in the past as well as my military customer service. At the point of finding out I was a Marine, the interview went south. The interview was cut short. She said she would contact me within the next 24 hours to notify me whether or not I received the job. She NEVER contacted me. No emails and no phone calls. I got zero feedback. I have no idea why I did not get the job, considering I am very qualified with my 4 years of customer service in the military and my 1 year prior retail sales/customer service position/experience. BUT regardless of how I feel, the manager should have been professional enough to contact me to let me know I was not a good fit, so that I could at least ask "why?" and better prepare myself for future interviews. As far as I know, I was very polite and professional and did everything right.
