Interview
Went in the store the other day and a lady gave me a card to their career website. Took the test online and recevied an email to call and schedule a interview the next day. I called and got an interview the same day. I went in dressed up just in a casual shirt, denim jeans, and flats. I met up with the manager and she told me to look around the store for a little bit.
I walked around just browsing the clothes (I have never shopped here before) and I was talking to her asking her questions just to let her know I was more interested. After about 10 minutes we went to the back of the store on the sales floor to start the interview.
Since I have prior experience in retail and customer service I thought I had a pretty good chance with her. I answered all of her questions quickly, kept eye contact, went into very good detail, and smiled a lot. Also I made sure I stood up straight (They may look at posture as you are on the sales floor for the interview) I shook her hand and told her it was nice to meet her and thank you for her time.
She said I would hear something in the next 48 hours. I just checked my email and saw that I was NOT offered the job which really shocked me.. I had a very good interview but it seems like they want to look for very skinny type models in their store. It's sad that in jobs they still discriminate and it's not right. I have no clue what went wrong but I wouldn't want to work at this store anyways. It doesn't fit my style. I wouldn't recommend applying unless you are a shopper of this store and a skinny model!
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
There weren't any difficult questions. General questions such as "Why do you want to work here", "What makes you a good candidate", "What activities did you do in high school", "What's your prior work experience". Nothing unexpected. Just do some research on their website just in case they ask you more about the company.
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.

Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.

Interview
They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
