I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle (Fort Collins, CO) in Aug 2013
Interview
I saw the store was hiring because of a sign and grabbed a card listing the manager's name and instructions of how to apply online. I did so, answering a personality-type test of "Strongly Agree" or "Strongly Disagree" questions, and after I took it I immediately got an automated email saying that i passed and to call the store to schedule an interview. I finished the test at night so decided just to call the next day. The manager actually ended up calling me before I could call to schedule an interview a few days from then.
I went in to the interview dressed in a gray button-up shirt, nice jeans, Nike's, and a nice watch. I ended up being interviewed by both the Manager and Assistant Manager-in-training right there on the floor in the corner in the front of the store. They asked me typical questions like "Tell me about yourself", "Describe your personality", "What is your goal/what are you doing in the future?", "Why do you want to work here", availability and past job experiences. I'm in college so I told them i was interested in their internship as well in the future if I was hired and they liked that. After the interview they told me they would definitely be contacting me most likely the next day.
The next day they called me around 11pm and told me they would like me to come in for a second interview the next day. I came in wearing a Hurley shirt with a button-up over, Buckle-type jeans and Nike's. I was interviewed by another Manager on the floor in the same spot again, and was asked the same type of questions, like "Why do you want to work here", "why Buckle?" and "If I were to call this reference right now what would be three things they would say about you?". All in all pretty easy if you're good at talking on your feet. I ended up getting offered the job right after the interview, and she scheduled me a time to come in to fill out paperwork and the day I would be starting training.

Question 1
"If I were to call this reference right now what would be three things they would say about you?"
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.

Question 1
How well do you do interacting with people you do not know?

Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.

They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
