I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Buckle (Olympia, WA) in Dec 2009
Interview
Went in for a first interview with the assistant manager, was asked general questions regarding customer service and past work experiences. Was called back and asked to come back for a second interview with the store manager where I was asked situational questions about different scenarios and generating sales. The interview process was easy and straight forward, having some retail or sales experience is definitely a benefit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you approach this person to tell them about a new jean that just came in?
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle (Little Rock, AR) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.

Interview
They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
