I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle in Dec 2015
Interview
Assistant manager referred me. I applied online and they called me the next day. Went in for my first interview and it lasted about 25 mins. Very easy in the back right on the sales floor. Manager seemed really interested in me. Before I left she said "I hope too see you again soon!" I left feeling very positive. I felt like she really wanted me on her team. 3 days later she called me saying she wants to do a 2nd interview and that I would be there for about 4 hours. I knew right then I was getting the job. I got there 5 mins early and she was so happy too see me. She immediately took me in the back room and we went over the accountability sheet, the commission sheet, and I watched 2 videos. After that she asked me if I accept and I said of course! Her offer was $8.15 (minimum wage) plus 3% commission (sales per hour.) We did a walk through the store and she explain the different denims they carry and had me try some on. I start the 15th and I am so excited!
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How well do you do interacting with people you do not know?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle (Little Rock, AR) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Buckle (Lima, OH)
Interview
They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
