The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Buckle in May 2011
Interview
I sent in my application, automatically got an email telling me to call and schedule an interview, called and scheduled it for the next day. The girl being interviewed before me had been running late so there was a bit of a wait during which they told me to look round the store, and during the wait TWO MORE people came in for their interviews; they do them all one right after the other! That was nerve wracking in itself, and when it came time for the interview, we went towards the back, still inside the store though, and the interview was conducted. I was only interviewed for about 5 minutes, and they guy interviewing me was very vague and seemed to already know that he didn't want me for the job, which made me nervous. I was overdressed, wearing dress pants and heels; everyone working there was wearing shorts and flip flops! I was told after the interview was finished that I would get an email within 48 hours letting me know either way. The rejection email didn't come until about a week later but by then I had made up my mind that Buckle wasn't the place for me.
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How well do you do interacting with people you do not know?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle (Little Rock, AR) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Buckle (Lima, OH)
Interview
They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
