I applied online. I interviewed at The Children's Place (Canoga Park, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
Interview was very relaxed. The store manager interviewed me and another girl at the same time. She didn't hold a list of questions in front of her like I was expecting. In fact, I think she was just asking some of the questions she remembered as we went, depending on what we were talking about. The questions she did ask were all ones I was expecting according to other reviewers on this site, but the more out-there questions I read about I expected and she did not ask. I also didn't have to go out on the sales floor and pick out outfits or help guests or pretend I was helping a guest. It was just a comfortable interview and I felt good about it when I left.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was the best shopping experience you ever had? Tell me about a time you had to deal with a really unhappy customer, and did you turn it into a positive experience for the guest?
I had one interview in person and it was really quick. The interview was super easy and the manager was really nice. They asked me questions like why do I want this job and a lot of questions regarding customer service. I got the job and I accepted the role.
