I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Upper Darby, PA) in Sep 2012
Interview
There was a lag between when I applied and was interviewed-maybe a month or so. Most of the "interview" was online, with screening questions about how I'd handle a difficult situation, etc. The face-to-face interview was very very brief. They conducted a urine screening for illegal drugs. There was an 800 number that I needed to cal to get updates on my application.

Question 1
I don't really remember. Almost all of the questions were handled online . The more difficult questions (all multiple choice), involved gray areas of how to handle both co-workers and customers. On most of these questions I said I would ask my manager about the situation. There were a lot of questions that dealt with me witnessing theft from the store, either by a customer or employee. Dealing with theft seemed to be one of the greatest weaknesses at the Upper Darby Home Depot.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Washington, PA) in Feb 2022
Interview
I originally applied for a design position and two days later I was offered an interview for the hardware sales associate position and turned it down. If this was a position I was interested in, I would have applied for it. The position offered was completely irrelevant and tells me that the company was just trying to fill a slot. Not to mention, with years of management and design experience, I felt overqualified for a sales position and would likely just be bored to death. Home Depot now keeps offering interviews for other irrelevant positions.

I declined the interview as it would have been a waste of everyone's time.

Very straight forward and they actually teach you things about their process during the interview. simple questions about how to help customers and different scenarios that can come up. They teach you what he 8 core values are and how you can make an impact on them. Other questions they may ask you is what your hobbies are and what experience you have with home improvement.

I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Dec 2020
Interview
I was initially contacted by email for a phone interview. It took a few emails back and forth to schedule a time as the website they were using to book appointments was not set up properly. I finally booked a time and I was screened as a candidate. I was then offered a video chat interview on another date. On the date of the interview, I had set the chat up in advance, however, no one entered the video call. I recieved a phone call 15 minutes after my scheduled interview time saying that my interview would be conducted over the phone because my interviewer was not at work that day.
