I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Hayden, ID) in Jan 2014
Interview
Interview was straight up. I spoke to two different managers. The questions were all sales related and asked for weaknesses and strengths. I had two separate interviews and was asked similar questions. The store manager asked if I would stay after the economy got better. He was impressed with my skills and resume however he felt I was way over qualified. I stated I would stay a minimum of 6 months to see if I could get a 40 hour a week position. In the end, they hired an 18 year old hoping he would stay for a number of years. I can't blame them. But, it would have been more appropriate had they made a decision after my first interview.

How do you perform in fast paced and high stress environments.
20-minute interview, asked scenario-based questions and experiences with customer service. The interview had a video call component and an in-person interview. The interview had questions about comfort with learning new programs and asked about availability.
it was short and it was simple very quick and they hired me on the spot probably due to needing people and being short staffed, but the staff was nice and polite they did also send me an email before hand to schedule my interview
