      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Sep 2014

      Interview

After applying you will get an email saying to call a 1800 number. You can either go ahead and call the number or wait for them to call you (usually within 24hours of receiving the email). The person will do a qualifying questionnaire to see if you are a good fit for the job. During the questionnaire if you answer any question with an answer that will disqualify you, they will stop the questionnaire. If you make it all the way through and qualify for the position, they will schedule you for an interview at the store. The interview will be 2-3 days after the call. The in-store interview is 1 on 1 with a member of management. Once completing the interview, if they feel you are qualified, they will give you a drug test form. There are only a handful of doctors they accept for the drug test, and it must be done within 24 hours. The store will also run a background check. Once you pass both the drug test and background check, you will be called to start training for your position. Depending on the position the computer training will take 2-4 days. Then you will start working at your position.
