I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Palmdale, CA) in Feb 2009
Interview
Well i applied online and got a phone call the next day from the coordinator (extremely friendly) and she asked if i was still interested and if i could come in on tuesday. I came in on Tuesday and the assistant store manager interviewed me. She asked me mostly questions about prior experiences such as "Have you ever had to a job that you didn't want to do? If so, what was the job and did you do it?" Almost every question was about difficult work scenarios and how you reacted to them.

Question 1
Have you ever had to work on something by yourself?
just a conversation with the HR team, asked the basic questions and nothing to stressful. they made the process very easy and the interview was actually truely with only one single person
5 minutes not even an interview just acceptance. I walked in and they said when can you start and if I can submit to a drug test and background check I said yes and left.

Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
