All and all The Home Depots process is systematic. First you apply online, then you are called for a phone screening most of which are yes or no answers, If you pass that then you move on to a in person interview that in my case was set up by the hiring manager at the home depot I applied for, pass that and you just need to pass a drug screen and its all good from there.
Now for personal details unique to my experience, I got there about fifteen minutes early, expecting to speak with the hiring manager but instead I ended up speaking to the general manager who was incredibly nice. In fact nothing he said sounded like he was simply towing a company line, no, he seemed genuinely happy, as did most people in the store, and his words seemed sincere, usually you can tell when people aren't happy or going through the motions, I didn't see any of that while I was there.
I got an offer on the spot contingent on the results of a drug screen, honestly, until the interview I was skeptical about working at the place, didn't think id like it too much. I was pleasantly surprised and I think I may take it.
