My initial interview was with a recruiter over a 30 minute call. It went really great and I got all good feedback from her and she scheduled my second interview with two Assistant Directors for the next day. It was a Google meet and it was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had as an interviewee. It definitely felt like their mind was made up prior to me getting on the call. Despite saying they were impressed with my resume, I was badgered for not having the "right" experience, pushed on my salary expectations because I would not give him a definitive number, pushed on whether I was applying with other companies, and barely got a genuine comment to any of my responses. I still haven't heard back from the recruiter, but I'm withdrawing myself and letting her know that I would never take that position with the concerns that those Assistant Directors could potentially be my bosses.
