Submitted application online and via internal employee referral. I was called by HR at 5.45pm on Saturday evening for a phone screen. Completely unexpected at that time and I was unprepared. Screen call was successful and interview with Hiring Manager was set up for approx 1 week later. Interviewed with hiring manager for 1 hour at a coffee shop. I followed up with HR and 1.5 weeks later I met again briefly with hiring manager, but more so with the current sales reps for that territory. This second interview went well and I left feeling confident of an offer. 1 day after the second interview I received an offer from a second company - I contacted Thermo Fisher HR to ascertain interest and received another offer from Thermo Fisher. I declined the Thermo Fisher offer as the second job was a better fit for me in terms of career advancement and compensation package.

It was a mid-length interview. We started with self-introductions, and then the HR asked a few questions about my personal interests and hobbies to make the atmosphere more relaxed. After that, there were some detailed questions about my current job experience, especially regarding what I have done, what I have learned, and the achievements or strengths I demonstrated. The discussion was mainly focused on work-related topics. Overall, the interaction was very normal and professional, and the interview was conducted in a polite and friendly manner.
