I applied online. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific
Interview
The interview was conducted online for Thermo Fisher Singapore. Interviewed with the hiring manager, HR, and team members in 1 session. The interview was focused on clarifying my background and what I did, unusual for interviews I’ve been to probably due to difference in terms we used. There was also a question on why I did not apply to company X, which I think the interviewer was trying to understand if I will leave or stay for a long term, but being so specific still made me feel uncomfortable. They were also asking similar questions in different ways, which made it confusing as it felt like they are expecting a standard answer. Due to the number of interviewers, the process felt rushed and disorganized, with hardly any time for questions. Additionally, I was not prepared to meet the team as the email invite only mentioned the hiring manager and HR. Overall, the process was not bad but definitely not pleasant too. More can be done to improve the interview session. Given the amount of time passed without hearing from the HR, I do not foresee an offer.
Very technical-oriented interview, with only a few behavioral questions. Expect a lot of questions related to the job description. Not too difficult but be prepared for rapid fire chemistry questions.
Had two virtual interviews, around 30 minutes each. Basic behavioral questions with the usual “describe a situation where you overcame an obstacle” type questions. Talked through resume, felt rather low pressure.

Generic star questions, just what you expect anywhere else. So I guess you should find the standard questions and have an answer for them. Other than that getting the interview wasn't hard
