I applied online. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific
Interview
The interview was thorough, covering both technical aspects and soft skills. Panel members began by providing a thoughtful introduction to PPD, explaining the company's mission and its significant impact on biopharmaceutical research, which truly resonated with me. They then asked a series of questions that ranged from technical competencies, such as my troubleshooting approaches and handling complex laboratory techniques, to behavioural questions that delved into my collaborative skills and adaptability.
I greatly enjoyed discussing my past experiences with them, especially in areas such as lab troubleshooting and operating sophisticated analytical equipment, as well as sharing my enthusiasm for applying these skills at PPD. This interview reinforced my interest and excitement for the role, and I am more motivated than ever to contribute to Thermo Fisher Scientific’s mission to improve health outcomes on a global scale.
There are two interviews, a phone call with the recruiter, and later a video meeting with the actual team you'll be working with. The phone call is around 30 minutes and the video call meeting is around 45 minutes to an hour
