      EPMO Project Manager Interview

      Jul 15, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Thrivent in Jul 2020

      Interview

The recruiter was polite but stunned inexperienced. Passing the phone screen, I was scheduled for a video interview with 3 managers. The managers were visibly in their kitchens (unprofessional). I understand the Covid situation, but if employees are working remotely then there should be dedicated working area. I felt like I aced the interview. I smiled, felt I came across calm and collected. The recruiter contacted me with feedback from the hiring manager, indicating they felt my experience and qualifications would be an asset but that I had “low energy”. This was an insulting feedback that seemed to be caused by hiring managers that can’t make a decision. I was invited to reapply in the future, but feel like I would be facing an uphill challenge. The issue was caused by the virtual in interview. Apparently they could not hear me well and instead of addressing it right away, I was faced with conflicting and insulting feedback. Stay away!
