The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Berlin) in Jan 2020
Interview
The interviewing process for TikTok is pretty straight forward. There are 3-5 interviews depending on your position you applied. There will be one initial interview with a recruiter afterwards you will also get to meet your manager, manager -1 level and probably somebody from the Headquater in Beijing. The interviewers are often not to familiar with what the job actually entales. So no specific jobrequirement questions are asked. Mostly you will be asked if you are able to manage high pressure and hugh workloads. It may be that interviews may end up as the one before since the interviewers don´t align on the outcomes. They will only give you a rating with which you end up in the next round or not.

Recruiter reached out via Linkedin to get information about my current role and introduce about the role. I went through 5 rounds of interview, which involved recruiter, hiring manager, skip level, peer skip level and cross functional HR.

Tell me about a time where you overcame challengers?
What is a feedback that you've received and how have you worked on the feedback?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok in May 2023
Interview
It was a disaster, especially the third interview. The questions were not really related to check my skills and experience. Also, even though it was the advanced stage, I strongly believe that the interviewer did not have a look at my resume and comments from the first and the second interviewer.

Question 1
What will you do? If you wake up in the morning and it turns out that you are alone in Mars.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Santa Clara, CA)
Interview
First interview was via video zoom with a hiring team member. I felt good about it afterwards (I usually have a good sense when things don’t go well). I thought I’d at least make it to the next round... but after two weeks of hearing nothing, even though I followed up, I was just sent a rejection email today... good luck if you’re interviewing!
