I applied online. I interviewed at TikTok (Tokyo) in Mar 2022
Interview
Ghosted me after 1st interview, and I couldn't able to contact HR or interviewer as the no-reply setting. After a month, I saw "process ended" then realized oh I was rejected without no ones mentioning. At least you should tell people the interview result right? Great company, big name, but please just show some respects.
Recruiting coordination + communication is either rapid fire and frequent or total ghosting. Interviewers need training; few had clear questions or thoughtful/relevant to the role. There was frequent question regarding if roles were going to be frozen, et al. Feels like they are floundering and unsure of direction.
They liked me, and I did very well in the interviews, but the process was changed three times. Then, when I got close to an offer, they expected me to move from the East Coast to the West Coast when the position was initially on the East Coast when I applied. I have to be close to family, and they should have said something sooner because candidates take a long time to prepare for interviews. Please avoid and apply to a reputable company. Also, I got nervous at employee reviews since you will work six days a week, 9–12 hour days. The 996 culture is terrible.
