I was contacted by an in-house HR recruiter via LinkedIn about a job opportunity. I interviewed, was really excited about the role, and was told they'd be in touch early the next week. I received a survey to describe my interview experience followed by an automated rejection notice with no contact from the HR employee who had recruited me. I had sent a follow up note asking for feedback or clarity on why my application was no longer being considered (even though I shouldn't have been the one to have to reach out first) and was completely ghosted. If you're going to make an effort to recruit someone to work for your company, the least you can do is send a follow up note with feedback regarding why the team chose to move forward with other candidates. It's not like I had proactively applied for this role, they reached out to me with interest. Overall very disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the HR team.
