The process took about a month. My ratings apply to my final interview only. My initial was great. There was no diversity amongst the 4 people I was in contact with. The first 15 mins of my final interview was spent by asking what time periods I worked in my different roles..it’s on my resume. Then proceeded to ask about a gap in experience 1. Why does it matter? 2. I was transitioning out of the military which can clearly be seen on my resume, it seems as if the interviewer could have used some discernment to consider I was going through an adjustment period. 0/10. Stated that I would need experience in a specific organization if I were to join the team after I said 100 times that I had it. Asked specific questions about the team and kpis and she said she couldn’t share. Why?? Weird
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TikTok (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
Most of the questions focused on previous recruiting and sourcing experience, so it’s important to be prepared to discuss your past roles in detail. Expect to be asked about your recruiting metrics, such as hiring efficiency, time-to-fill, and candidate conversion rates. Additionally, be ready to share innovative sourcing techniques you have used and explain how you adapt different approaches when recruiting for technical roles versus non-technical positions.
