The interview consisted of 6 rounds in all as listed below: 1)30 min with HR 2) 45 minutes with hiring manager 3) 45 minutes with team member 4) 45 minutes with another senior member 5) was supposed to be 45 minutes but ended in 20 minutes with the head of department 6) was supposed to be 45 minutes but ended in 30 minutes. This was with HRBP The team members were good but the last round I felt was not needed. It was the same questions as asked in first HR round. Questions were both technical and behavioural. Also around motivation to join Tiktok and long term career goals. The interview coordinator will generally give feedback within 24 hours for the next round of interview if you are passed the last round. You can asknthe interview coordinator about the interviewer profile before the next round. Other than the interviewer profile, you will not know what the interview will be about. All in all, it took around 3 weeks for interviews to finish and then offer discussions took 2 weeks. The offer came out very low which was unexpected for me. After giving 6 rounds of interview, I was not expecting this low offer. No RSUs and therefore had no motivation. But later on I negotiated to get at least a reasonable market rate for my skills which they accepted. I am hopeful to learn a lot given that this is the most valuable in unicorn company at this moment.
