I went through a very extensive interview process with Tinuiti that spanned several months and required a significant investment of time and effort. The process included an initial talent interview, a conversation with the hiring manager, and a multi-day project and presentation that I developed to present to a panel. That was followed by a 30+ minute panel interview and an additional interview with an executive. After completing all of this, I received no follow-up for a couple of weeks and no responses to emails checking in on status. The process went completely silent. Eventually, more than two weeks after the final interview, I received a rejection email with no feedback whatsoever. After the level of time, preparation, and energy required for this process, that lack of communication and transparency was extremely disappointing. When candidates are asked to invest this much into an interview cycle including building full projects and presenting to leadership they deserve meaningful feedback, regardless of outcome. I followed up multiple times in hopes of understanding if there was anything I could improve or approach differently moving forward, but there was still no feedback provided. I understand not every opportunity results in an offer. However, when a process extends over months and requires substantial candidate work, providing thoughtful feedback should be standard practice. It’s not just respectful, it reflects the company’s values and candidate experience.
