Met with district manager who was hiring for all store positions in a new location. DM didn’t come prepped with a schedule and didn’t know who she was meeting or for what role. Throughout the “interview” she didn’t ask questions other than insight in to what made the staff at my current company so great, eventually asking what role I had applied for. Her response was unprofessional at best and I was told they already hired for that role, but if I wanted to work 1-2 days per week over the holidays to get a discount she could hire me on the spot as a sales associate. Overall she was not prepared and clearly hadn’t read applications prior to emailing out candidates. Would have greatly appreciated the knowledge that it wasn’t a store manager level interview before accepting the meeting. A huge red flag for deeper communication issues once I was hired.
