Overall, super straightforward process. Everyone was really kind and I had really good conversations with everyone. I really vibed with everyone on the team super well and everyone was super professional and on time.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Torrid (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
The interview process was quite strange. The recruiter reached out to me for an interview via text, which might be normal to some, but seemed odd to me since I've usually been contacted by recruiters via email only. We scheduled a phone interview date, and one day prior she texted me to cancel and reschedule (which I did). The next day, about 15 minutes into our phone interview, the call dropped and I repeatedly tried calling her back to no avail. She would not answer her cell phone or office number. She then proceeded to texted me back within 5 minutes stating that she had to go to a meeting. Which was disrespectful because I thought she allotted those 30 minutes to our phone interview. Nonetheless, she then reschedules for the second time, and calls me back 2 hours later. The company didn't end up moving forward with my application and I received a rejection via email, but to be quite honest I was a little taken aback considering that a company as widely recognized as Torrid would allow a recruiter to behave this way. It came across as unorganized and disrespectful. If the recruiter is like this, just imagine what the office environment is like...
