Interview
Do you want be lied to?
Do you want to work for a place that gives you the run around?
Applied online & got a call for an interview. Had to go to another location (about a half an hour drive) than the original store I applied for without at least a 24 hour notice. It was a group interview & it seemed to go well the woman was seemed rather pleasant. We were informed that we would start working about two weeks from the interview if we were chosen. Three days later I received a phone call saying they wanted me for the job. I accepted but then was told I had to come in the following day for training & to fill out paperwork at another different location that I hadn't applied for. I wasn't given a 24 hour notice, I was told that I wouldn't start until 2 weeks from the interview, and I wasn't told that I have to do training at another location. If I would have known that from the beginning I wouldn't have applied/accepted due to the amount of running around I would have to be doing in that short amount of time period plus I was employed at the time by another place & have to put in a standard two weeks noticed. I explained to the person(same that interviewed me) that offered me the position my concern about not being able to make it the following day if we can reschedule the training. She told me she'd get back to me. It's been a while and I haven't been contacted. So it is safe to say they didn't want me. Shame on you Torrid. You pride yourself on being a company that cares for their customers and employees. I am a customer and was technically an employee. It's too bad you don't have the common decency to say "I'm sorry but we are looking for somebody who can make it that day or we are looking for somebody else thank you for your time." But rather say "I will get back to you" and don't to somebody who you offered the position to & had already said yes.

Asked me to come in, asked me a few questions that could be asked on the phone, and it was over. Weird and awkward. You should not feel intimidated by this.

Meet in person, sat outside of the store, they asked me about my style inspiration and past experience in retail. They hire at 16 y/o so that’s cool. She seemed nice and welcoming.
