I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Toyota North America in Apr 2025
Interview
It went great! We talked about the location of the job and the interviewer's experience moving there. She asked a couple of routine questions, but nothing out of the ordinary.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Toyota North America (Portland, OR) in Aug 2021
Interview
I found the job on a job board and applied on the Toyota NA website. I met all of the qualifications of the position as well as the "nice-to-have's." I was contacted via email by a recruiter within 12 hours and scheduled a phone interview with the recruiter for two days later.
The phone interview went very well, and the recruiter stated that I would receive a follow up email to set up an in-person interview with the local hiring manager by the end of the week, or early the next week.
On Monday of the following week I received an automated email from the recruiting department advising that they had proceeded with another applicant. I emailed the recruiter a professional note thanking them for their time and requesting any constructive criticism for future opportunities but they never replied.
I went through a phone screen, then got forwarded to move on to a face to face interview. In this part of the interview you will be asked questions from a panel. You are required to answer the questions in the STAR format. Be sure your responses flow concisely while highlighting each situation, task, action, and result.
