Interview
All-in-all the experience was pretty great (the only great thing about working here...but that's another story). I found an opening on some site- unfortunately I can't recall which one it was- but I applied for the position. Mind you, this is my first job ever and I know that there are a ton of places nowadays only hiring people with experience so I really wasn't expecting a phone call.
Except about two hours later I received a phone call from the HR person from Babies R Us saying that she saw my application and was wondering if I'd like to come in the very next day for a group interview. Of course I accepted.
I was uneasy about the whole group thing mostly because I figured each individual wouldn't get a chance to fully explain why they should be hired, but it was actually a lot of fun:
Basically, we played games. Yes, games. For instance, the first one we played was where we each had to pick out how ever many squares of toiler paper we wanted BUT we had to give interesting facts about ourselves depending on how may squares you got.
Another was when we were put into teams of 3 and had to building something out of Legos and then act as though we're marketing/selling the "product". Afterwards was the individual interviews where they wanted know things like the last time you helped someone achieve something and what was your greatest accomplishment in the past 2 years.
The main problem that I had was after the interview; they said that they'd call in three days, except they never did. I waited another two days, yet no call. Eventually I called the place myself and asked for the manager or the HR person. Neither of them were available (apparently one was sick and the other was on vacation). Finally 2-3 weeks later was when they called to tell me I was hired and scheduled me for my first day.

Interview
It was a group interview. They asked me to introduce myself. Then they ask you to try and sell an item to one of the other people being interveiwed. Everyone got hired, so they definitely needed people regardless if they were a fit for the job.
I applied online then received a mini phone interview a few days later, after going through that they decided to call me in for a group interview. It was pretty basic, most of the group was around my age but there were a few older people as well. We had to hunt the store for a toy to present in front of everyone and sell, we were given a piece of paper and pen to kind of plan out our sales pitch and do it. After everyone went, we had to go and return our toys, but when we came back the interviewer was setting out more toys for us, so we had to sell toys again but not ones we picked. Same process. After that they pulled us in for one on one interviews. Very straight forward questions.

Interview
I got a call and set up a group interview time. I was the first to the interview and got to speak with the HR a little bit. During the interview we had to sell a team member, sell a toy from a stack they picked out, and tell things about ourselves. After everything was done they separated us into two groups. One group was hired, the other was not. Then the hired people went in one at a time for a single interview right after and got the job details worked out.
