I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (New York, NY) in Mar 2010
Interview
I applied online was called within a day which was surprising to say the least. There was a group interview about 12-13 of us. I was nervous about it, never liked the idea of group interviews, but it was not bad at all. We laughed a lot thanks to awesome HR people, that loosened us up.
The first part of the group interview we were given questions to ask a partner which we then presented to the entire group. During the second part, we broke up into small groups (0f 3-4 people). We had to come up with a company name, toy name, commercial, and jingle for a toy we created of legos and present. After that we went to 1 on 1 interviews with managers from different deparments. Im sure you'll be told on the spot whether you get hired or not. Everyone who I saw again during training said they were told theyd get hired. Im sure others got the we'll call you schtik.
