The interview process was fairly lengthy. I first met with HR to evaluate whether I could be a good fit, then I interviewed with the head of the department and a counterpart (done through video), and then I went onsite to meet with the head of lead generation, the CEO, the SVP of Partnerships, and two Customer Success Managers on site.
In terms of timing, the process was long (3 months), but I think it's in part because the team really values who they bring into the company. The candidate needs to be the right culture fit (we have a "no a$hole policy"), and they need to really understand the industry/product.
For most of the interview process, the interviewers focused on past experience, campaigns that were relevant, client work, and my general knowledge of the industry. However, the CEO actually focused our conversation on a culture check. He asked questions to get to know me (i.e. where I'm from, what I enjoy outside of work, and how I grew up). I actually really appreciated that he spent time getting to know me outside of my resume. Most C-level roles don't spend much time on "the people", and I was struck by how personal he was and that he was spending more of the interview on finding the right "culture fit" rather than my credentials on my resume.
Overall, it was a positive experience.
