I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Trader Joe's
Interview
It was quick and painless. The interviewers started off as cold and uninterested but I believe that is a test to see if you can create a conversation. Be interesting, be friendly, be unique. That's what they want to see and if you do that you've got a good shot.

Question 1
Tell me about one time you've had to deal with a difficult customer, and how you handled it.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (Bloomington, MN) in Jul 2026
Interview
Two interviews. Both were enjoyable and I could tell they care about the employees well being. I was very comfortable with the interviewing style.
I returned for a second interview a week later and was offered the job.
pretty good, asked a lot of questions, nice people, I have been a shopper with trader joes, the people are helpful, and I have done a lot of work in customer services, and I believe I will be a great fit at trader joes.
1 phone call, two in person, never got the job. Short and simple interview, the third one was long but it was just the employee yapping about the job and what they do. Pretty lame considering they already knew they weren’t going to hire me. Said they were gonna call me and never did. Just call and say that you don’t wanna hire me and move on, how hard is that?
