Applied in store with a paper application, over the next 3.5 weeks I visited in store to check on the status of my application. Each time I went they seemed to have lost it. So over the course of said weeks I filled out two applications, full of my personal info only for it to be “lost”. At some point some high level store employee
Got involved and took my name and number down and explained to me how loosing my applications was “unacceptable” and “should have never happened”. So eventually they set up an interview, and it was how all TJ’s interviews on the internet said they would be. Then they call me back and said they will not be hiring me. Overall this process took much much longer than other stores, and I still didn’t get the job, which I expected giving they “lost” my applications.
Super easy just be yourself and know the products and you will pass with flying colors. Make sure you are available to work weekends, they usually prefer people to close which can be annoying.
two interviews one with mate then one on another day with the captain - basically the same questions at both and the typical questions you would expect strengths/weaknesses, what makes you a good employee, what makes you like an employer
It was quick and seamless and they let me know in ample time. It was a painless process and the crew was quick to give honest opinions about working there. The Captain changed but at the time turnover wasn't high.
