I submitted an application online. You had to submit a CV and answer some questions on commodities. I received an invite for a phone interview within one month. The phone interview was a 30-minute call over Webex.
The first-round interview went well overall. It was a 30-minute call with HR and focused mainly on technical and industry-related questions rather than my CV. I was asked about how Trafigura makes money, the risks of transporting crude oil, and some logic-based questions. The interviewer was professional but kept the camera off, which made the conversation a bit less personal. I managed to answer most questions confidently and kept my answers structured and concise. Overall, it was a good experience and a valuable insight into Trafigura’s expectations.
