I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Trimble (Boulder, CO) in Mar 2013
Interview
Five, one-hour interviews with different members of the team. Each interviewer asked a different technical question (they already had my resume, so we did not waste time discussing any frills listed there). Also included a relaxed lunch with members of the team I would be working with.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were on algorithms, arrays, and design principles. Answers were expected to be written in correct syntax in a language of your choice on a white board.

Interview
HR person was a very odd and difficult to work with. They asked for a time frame which I provided only to have them schedule something outside of that time frame. When I emailed to address the time conflict they rescheduled me twice without notice or confirmation. When I reached out to ask them about it I was treated as an inconvenience. If they were having a bad day why take it out on your candidate? I felt like I was respectful throughout the entire correspondence but treated as if I was purposely making their day more difficult.

They just repeated everything on my resume and ended the call. I assume it was a screening interview but it just felt overly hostile.
