The interview process was alright but I was let down by the internal recruiter who simply wasted my time. The first interview is all high-level tell us about yourself, salary, etc. The second interview is a technical screen where you have to describe your relevant software experience and then you work through a problem on coderpad. The question was easy, implement the itoa function. Then, because there was more time, I was asked to review some code.
I was then sent a rejection email from the no-reply address after not getting a response from the recruiter for several days. I asked for feedback and surprisingly I got it. It turns out that my lack of front-end experience was a deal breaker for them, despite the recruiter telling me directly in the first interview that this was totally fine and we should proceed. I guess the recruiter think it’s OK to waste people’s time and effort like this.
Btw the salary range I was given for this position was 120k-140k.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tripadvisor in Jun 2022
Interview
Round one - interview with recruiter - package and personality fit.
Round two - interview with tech manager. Basic code challenge and datastructure questions: array vs linked list
Round three - Four interviews with senior engineers - all with code challenges - pretty touch, but got prompts.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tripadvisor (Needham, MA) in Apr 2022
Interview
Applied online, had a conversation with British team and then waiting for HR from Mass team to schedule hiring manager round.
This is where it all started, the guy from HR team just automatically sent you schedule links without giving you any information.
I didn't even know if this is an HR talk or Hiring Manager interview. Followed up with HR 3 times in 10 days and got no responses at all. I finally had to schedule on that system and wait for another week for HR to confirm. During that week, I followed with 2 more emails and still no response.
After the interview, the HR is gone. It feels like the HR team who works on your case is robot, they won't even talk to you or reply your emails. This is the most frustrated interview experience I've ever had.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with the recruiting team. I apologize you never received a follow-up email or call after submitting your availability and interview with the hiring manager. We strive to respond to each of our candidates in a timely manner, and it appears this was not the case. Although this does not change your experience, your concerns have been heard.
