I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tripp Lite (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2013
Interview
Interviewed with 3 managers of the department. They asked basic interview questions that you would expect in an interview. All three managers were friendly and wanted to really get a feel of your personality. There was a competency test that they had all employees take. The interview took about 2 hours.

Question 1
There were no questions that threw you for a loop. There was a competency test that they had all employees take.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tripp Lite (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2016
Interview
After a phone screen, went into their office, took a paper test (?) and spoke with the hiring manager. It seemed like a good experience but they never got back to me. I sent one or two follow-up emails and no answer. If someone comes in to interview and you can't bother to shoot them a generic 'no' email. that to me is a red flag. In-person interview + the phone screen was a huge waste of time.
