Please be very careful if you decide to pursue this position. First, I found Trupanion's training/recruiting program for TP’s, to be based on prejudicial and shallow stereotyping, rather than one’s ability to sell their pet insurance.
When I agreed to go to Seattle, no guarantee was made for a job, however, I was under the impression that the evaluation would be based on (1) my ability to learn and pass the exam and (2) an evaluation based on my sales experience, sales success, selling style, etc.
Please beware. In my option, the management is narcissistic and they are watching you from the very beginning. Little to nothing was asked or discussed about my sales background once I got to Seattle. The first 4 days were spent on lecture and Q and A and idle chit chat over lunches/dinners.
I was not signed and sent home after four days. The reason cited was my "enthusiasm" as I was told veterinarians are shy and introverted.
